About Us

Dads Adventure sponsors Boot Camp for New Dads workshops across the country, publishes Hit The Ground Crawling and Dads Adventure Magazine, and operates DadsAdventure.com so all new fathers have a place to connect and get answers to their questions.

Greg Bishop, a brother of twelve and father of four, had changed lots of diapers by the time he started Boot Camp for New Dads with some friends in 1990. He believed that an orientation by other fathers would be a great help for new dads in connecting with their babies and stepping up to the challenges of fatherhood.

He conducted the workshops monthly on Saturday mornings for six years when he wasn’t coaching Pee Wee soccer teams. After requests from other communities, Greg founded the non-profit New Fathers Foundation in 1996 to expand Boot Camp throughout the nation.

Today, with 300 Boot Camp coaches, 150,000 graduates, and new sites developing overseas, we are the largest network of fathers in the world. We share a common commitment to doing our best for our families and recognize that men inherently inspire each other by their actions and encouragement.

Greg formed recently formed Dads Adventure, Inc. to publish Hit The Ground Crawling and Dads Adventure Magazine, and to help fund the non-profit Boot Camp for New Dads (to which the royalties from these publications are donated). Dads Adventure, Inc. is also developing new products to help men make the most of being a father and have a great time with their kids.

Greg is also CEO of Trauma Care of America and founder of the non-profit National Foundation for Trauma Care, the association of the nation’s trauma centers.
